Below is a link to the stills for desire. There are too many to list so I have turned it into a video by using Windows Live Movie Maker to show the process before it has been edited.

Hope- Research
These are the characters, George, Lenny and Candy. Just like Rayman they have no connecting limbs. The white spaces will be filled in when I edit it in photoshop.
The Rayman design has no connecting limbs to the body and as I used to draw these kind of things when I was younger it would be a basis for my character designs.
These are farm ranches. It was difficult to find a view of the inside rooms that hadn't been modernised so these were the closest images that I could find.
I think the best way is to build just the room from foam bored then put all the flooring and furniture in after using photoshop.

Hope, Fear and Desire- The Raven
My shortend version of The Raven poem:
Once upon a midnight dreary, while I pondered, weak and weary.
And each seperate dying ember wrought its ghost in the bleak December.
From my books surcease of sorrow- sorrow for the lost Lenore.
Suddenly there came a tapping, as of someone gently rapping,
"Tis some visitor" I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door,
Only this and nothing more
And the silken, sad, uncertain rustling of each purple c;urtain,
Thrilled me,- filled me with fantastic terrors never felt before.
Presently my sould grew stronger; hesitating then no longer,
"Sir" said I, "or Madam, truly your forgiveness I implore",
Here I opened wide the door
Darkness there and nothing more
Open here I flung the shutters, when, with many a flirt and flutter,
In there stepped a stately Raven of the saintly days of yore
Then this ebony bird beguilng my sad fancy into smiling,
"Gastly grim and ancient Raven wandering from the Nighty shore!"
Tell me what thy lordly name is on the Nights Plutonian shore!"
Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore"
"Prophet" said I, "thing of evil!- prophet still if bird or devil!-
Whether tempter sent, or whether tempest tossed thee here ashore.
Desolate yet all undaunted, on this desert land enchanted-
On this home by Horror haunted- tell me truly, I implore!-
Is there- is there balm in Gilead? - tell me- tell me, I implore!"
Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore"
These are my stills going through a creative process. I first sketched them out in my book and then modified it on the the acetate.
I finally got the right pens to use on the acetate, I was just using ink and normal fine liners, which was a fighting battle. I re-did the stills with the proper pens and is much better and easier. I found out that I could blend/smudge the ink before it quickly dried which was useful to cover big spaces and make an effect.

Fear, Hope and Desire
Fear - The raven, by Edger Allan Poe
Hope - Of Mice and Men, John Steinbeck
Desire - Pictures of You, The Last Goodnight
The raven poem
The first part of this video is what I am most interested in:- From 0.17seconds to 0.22seconds. The use of still pictures with few movements, the narrater and sounds I think is a good start for a style for the Raven poem.

Hope- Of Mice and Men
The animated parts in this music video is quite strong, it reminds me of a Victorian style because of the bold shapes and colours
Desire- Pictures of You
I'd like to use the pixelated image layers to show how people/things are now and what they want them to be like.
thought about using The Raven poem by Edger Allan Poe as it has desire and fear, not sure if it has hope in it. I'll have to read through it and write some notes.
because the poem is long I'll have to shorten it down to only the important parts. It maybe:
Once upon a midnight deary, while I pondered, weak and weary.
Over many a quaint and curious volume of forgotten lore-
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
"Tis some visitor," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door-
Only this and nothing more."
Presently my soul grew stronger, hesitating then no longer,
"Sir," said I, "or Madam, truly your forgiveness I implore;
But the fact is I was napping, and so you came rapping,
And so faintly you came tapping, tapping at my chamber door,
That I scarce was sure I herd you"- here I opened wide the the door;-
Darkness there and nothing more.
Open here I flung the door, when, with many a flirt and flutter,
In there stepped a stately Raven of the saintly days of yore:
Not the least obeisance made he; not a minute stopped or stayed he;
But, with mien of lord or lady, perched above my chamber door-
Perched upon a bust of Pallas just above my chamber-
Perched, and sat, and nothing more.
Now that I've started to write it out I'm not sure how this will work. Need to re-think what I'm doing.

The Of Mice and Men story is one my favourite books. This will be good for my Hope, Fear and Desire assignment. Hope of them getting there own little place with rabbits and alphapha. Fear that Lenny with get them into trouble again. Lenny's desire to touch the things he likes, that's what gets him into trouble.
Again I'll have to shorten this down to only what is needed.

While I was researching Of Mice and Men I found this music video, Pictures of you by The Last Goodnight. When I watched it I thought it was about what people want to be instead of what they are now.
The lead singer, Kurtis John said “Pictures Of You” is a collage of life, a landscape of lyrics that paints a picture of ‘what if,’” explains John. “What if a different path was taken, or someone was dealt the wrong set of cards?” With the empathy infusing Poison Kiss, it makes sense that The Last Goodnight isn’t only about the music—“there’s an energy the band has that I want to put to the best possible use,” John explains. “It’s about what we can do to change the world.”
